Full Moon at the Cosmic Pond
an ACA Allenheads Contemporary Arts event

Astronomer and Cosmologist Fred Stevenson will give a talk on the extraordinary characteristics and unsolved mysteries of the Moon.
You can then experience the sounds of nature under the full Moon with artists Sarah Sparkes and Ian Thompson who will introduce you to The Cosmic Pond, an exploration of the soundscapes around and within Allenheads reservoir. Discover the influence of the lunar cycle on the natural world and the moon's significance in myth and folklore. There will be an opportunity to make your own recordings , including underwater sounds with the aid of hydrophones.
Equipment provided. Suitable for adults and children 12 or over accompanied by adults. There will be some walking on uneven ground so wear walking shoes/ boots or wellingtons.
Price includes hot drinks and cake.
