YOUR OWN PURPOSE-BUILT WINDOW ON THE UNIVERSE
The North Pennines Astronomy Society
The North Pennines Astronomy Society is a group of amateur stargazers, which was established in 2016 and form the core of the Observatory's 100 supporting members. We are based at the North Pennines Observatory, although we meet in locations throughout the North Pennines AONB, covering the Allen Valleys, Weardale, Teesdale, and parts of Cumbria. We meet at least once a month, during our observing season (September to April), and have other activities in the Summer, such as solar observation. The emphasis is always on practical activities under dark skies, whenever conditions permit. SEE EVENTS CALENDAR
If places within the 100 supporting membership are available, anyone is welcome to join, and no prior experience is required. Simply complete the application below.
